Lawn Equipment Thefts Vicinity of The Oaks Subdivision (100 blk. Willow Oak Ct. and 100 blk. High Oak Dr.)

Between Saturday May 31, 2014 through Thursday June 5, 2014 the Double Oak Police Department has received reports regarding the theft of lawn care equipment from three separate residences.

Some consistent themes between the reports:

–  Items are being removed from unsecure storage sheds.

–  Generally only one or two items are stolen.

–  The Oaks subdivision has been the targeted location.

–  Missing are a Honda lawn mower; a gas can; two Echo leaf blowers; and a Poulan chain saw.

There is a strong possibility that the thefts all occurred during the week prior to May 31 and are now being discovered as people start searching for their equipment.

If you observe suspicious persons in your neighborhood please don’t hesitate to dial 911. Clothing and vehicle descriptions are extremely helpful.

Please consider locking sheds, shutting garage doors and not leaving personal property in unsecured vehicles.

If you have information regarding the Double Oak lawn equipment thefts please call  972-355-5995.
